Tutorial: 2013 Instagram photo calendar

As promised, I am here today to share a brand new tutorial to create a 2013 photo calendar with your Instagrams. Every year, I make a calendar to give to my parents for Christmas. This year, I decided to use my November Citrus Twist kit and embellishment add-on. I took my time to embellish each page but it can be done in a simpler way if you're in a hurry.

(all measurements are in inches)

Supplies:
- 3 sheets of cardstock (or more if you want to use more colors)
- one sheet of thicker cardstock and thin cardboard (there's always one included in the Citrus Twist kits to support the papers)
- a printer
- temporary tape (painters tape or washi tape)
- a variety of patterned papers (scraps work fine)
- 12 printed Instagram photos or square photos of your choice
- stickers, embellishments, thread
- a binding machine + coils or book rings

1/ First, cut the thin cardboard to 6x12 and score it like below, once in the middle (at the 6" point) and 2" away from that middle line of each side. Then fold as shown in the photo:

2/ Cut your cardstock into 13 pieces measuring 4x6 and prepare 12 photos measuring 2.25" square:

3/ Go to http://rubberstamping.about.com/od/2013/ss/Free-Printable-2013-Cd-Case-Calendar.htm and print one page. I had to click on each month twice to get the bigger size. Once you have one month on a sheet of copy paper, you can calibrate by looking through a window where you want your 4x6 pieces of cardstock to be placed:

4/ Feed a new piece of cardstock into your printer for each month:

5/ Spend as much or as little time as you wish embellishing each month and on your thirteenth piece to create a cover:

6/ Punch holes on the top of each page and on the supporting cardboard as seen below:

7/ Bind your calendar (making sure that your months are in order!) and you are done!

Here are a few more shots of the inside and cover:

As always, if you have any questions, please leave them in the comments! And please share yours, if you decide to make one too! Happy scrapping!
