Project Life 2017: Week 22 + a planner spread with Kellie Stamps

As my Creative Team term comes to an end, I wanted to share with you the last projects I made with the Kellie Stamps June release:
First is this spread in my Project Life album in which I have included a "Currently" list with stamps from a new set by the same name.
I stamped each word and then typed the rest with my manual typewriter. I also used the new alpha set called "Grant" on a piece of green vellum. All other supplies used in this spread are from the June Studio Calico Documenter kit that I was lucky to win (thank you Geralyn!). This was actually my first time playing with one of their kits!
I didn't have many photos for this week so I decided to only use some from a walk my husband and I did on Memorial Day, including an extra large version of my favorite. I just added a list of what happened that week on a journaling card.

For my second project, I decorated a spread in my Passion Planner using the new "Box Plan It" set:
I used Simple Stories ephemera and stamped on page flags from Target.
Of course this was taken "before the pen" ;)
Finally, I would like to thank Kellie for offering me the opportunity to design for her. Working with her trendy stamps was so much fun and I am excited to see what she is preparing for the upcoming months!

Thank you for stopping by!

My first traveller's notebook page (Kellie Stamps new release)

I am excited to share with you the start of this project today as it is my very first traveller's notebook (TN) spread!
Last March, we went back to Anza-Borrego State Park for the "Superbloom" (I recently shared a mini album from a previous visit to the same place HERE) and I actually took my DSLR and shot lots of photos. We had to wake up before dawn to beat the crowds but it was all worth it!

I have been eyeing traveller's notebooks for a while and finally, thanks in part to the TN kit from Gossamer Blue, decided that it would be perfect for this little day trip.
This first page features the latest release from Kellie Stamps Shop: the "Funday Week" set might be my favorite for this month (OK, the "Anzac Avenue" set is pretty fab too!)
I just used colored pencils to fill in the letters. The papers are from Crate Paper, the die-cuts are ancient from my stash, the black washi is from Fancy Pants and the mini flairs are from Feed Your Craft.
All my photos are printed and I will be sharing more pages as I complete them. It's a bit of a change of format for me but I have always found that change stimulates my creativity :)
Have you joined the TN trend yet? What do you like/dislike most about them?

Project Life 2017: Week 9 and 10

Hi there! I didn't mean to be posting two days in a row but it is release day over in the Kellie Stamps shop and I have used three of the new sets on this spread!

The first one I used and seen below is the "Makers gonna Make" set which has this awesome brush stroke stamp and a fun crafty theme. I stamped the brush stroke in white and the word on top of it in black. I really like the effect:

Another first time combo for me was using a manual typewriter with stamping directly on a photo:
I used the brand new alpha set called Anzac Avenue, with black ink above and white ink below.

Finally, and this might be my favorite, I used the Funday Week set to accompany some silly photos of my son:

For the rest of my supplies, I picked the yellow and red from a few of my photos to pull papers, labels and a few embellishments from old stash (and that felt good!).

What do you think of this new release? Which set do you prefer?

Dry Erase Weekly Menu

Hey there! Can I share another off-the-page project with you? I was inspired by the new Kellie Stamps set "Today Was" to create a dry erase weekly menu:

I stamped the "Today is" circle seven times on light grey cardstock and then filled them with each day of the week. I then used a circle punch to cut them out.
All the patterned papers and ephemera are from the Fancy Pants Sweet Nothings collection. The frame measures 9x12 inches and was purchased at Michael's.
You can use a dry erase marker directly on top of the glass and wipe it off with a paper towel to start over the next week!

Do you plan your menus for the week? If you don't, you should! I have been doing it since the birth of my first child when I realized that going grocery shopping had become a bit more complicated. I won't list here the many benefits of doing so but maybe starting by making a cute frame like this one would help you? ;)

See you soon!

Project Life 2017: Week 7

Hello friends! I am here today with a new spread from my 6x12 Project Life album. This being the week of Valentine's Day I did not hesitate with all the pink! I used the latest stamp sets from Kellie Stamp, "Nuts About Food" and "Today Was":

The customizable circles in the "Today Was" set are so versatile I could see them being used again and again in PL or traveler's notebook pages. I decided to stamp them in white ink on black paper to bring contrast to my spread.
All the other stamps you see are from the "Nuts About Food" set, which has fun sayings (like "Don't Judge Me", "Share? No!"). Also, the papers and cards are from Gossamer Blue.

Today's tips:
1/ Use stamping in a uniform way across your spread to bring continuity (same color ink or same color paper)
2/ Ink only a portion of a stamp if it works better for you ("life's sweet" is actually a stamp that says "life's sweet with a") or hide part of it by tucking it under a photo.

And by the way, have you ever tried the dark chocolate chunk almond cookies from Trader Joe's? ☝︎ They are so good they are dangerous for me! :P They're only in the house (and not for long) when my husband buys them!

Thank you for stopping by! I appreciate it!

Donut open!

Today is reveal day over in the Kellie Stamps shop and I am going to share the first project I created with the brand new "Nuts for Food" clear stamp set:
I had a lot of fun with this one! I started with the tag and typed the last line with my manual typewriter before adding the "Donut" stamping and the alpha stickers. I love the mix of fonts:
For the wrapping of my gift, I repeatedly stamped the donut shape on bright pink tissue paper (using black Versafine). I then wrapped the package with twine and attached the tag with a white mini clothespin:
All ready to be gifted!
Go check out the "Nuts about food" set! It is so fun and offer so many possibilities. I also used it on a Project Life spread that I will share later.
Thank you for stopping by!

PS: Don't forget to sub to Kellie's newsletter because she always sends a discount code in it ;)

The beach is calling and I must go (Kellie Stamps)

So I recently shared this "off-the-page" project on Instagram but if you are not on Instagram, or you don't follow me, here's a look:
First I printed my photo to 8x8 inches, then I stamped the quote directly on it with the excellent new alpha set called "Top Notch" from the Kellie Stamps shop using Brilliance ink in white.
As you can see below, I pierced the photo following the stamping and then embroidered with different color DMC threads.

I found the frame at Michael's and now it hangs in my scrap area. I love it!

Project Life: Back in June 2016...

So I went back to work on my 2016 album and I'm sharing today the second week of June. That concludes my summer pages. Now all I have left to do is November and parts of December, not too bad...

For this spread, I used three of the latest stamp sets by Kellie Stamps (released today): "Top Shop", "Seymour" and "Take a Number". Other supplies include papers, cards and bits from Gossamer Blue February Life Pages and Main kits as well as a mini flair from Feed Your Craft.

For my title card, I used the "Take A Number" stamps which are great for dates and I dusted my old Dymo to add the month sideways:
To add color, I made a couple of other cards out of patterned papers but my favorite is the one below made with the "Top Shop" stamps:
Because this was a big week for us (with family visiting and end of school year events), I repeated the word big over and over and then added a couple embellishments. I love the statement it makes in my spread.

I have another project in the works with these stamps but this time I'm going a bit "off the page" ;) Hope to see you back here soon! Thank you for stopping by!

2017 Project Life: Cover and Week 1

Hello! I am back today to talk about my memory keeping plans for 2017 and to share the start of my new album. I officially started pocket scrapbooking in 2016 because it was going to be a year full of milestones for me and my family and now, a year later, I can say that I really enjoyed it.  I don't expect big milestones for 2017 but because I can't really see myself going back to full page layouts at this point, I plan on continuing putting memories into pockets :)

I see a lot of people change format year to year (or even midyear) but I am sticking with a 6x12 album. It is visually the one I prefer and it works well with the amount of photos I take at this point in my life. Albums are hard to find in that format, the only ones I found are from Hobby Lobby... if something better comes out during the year, it'll be easy to switch...

The cover has a window in which I inserted a beach photo with a Kellie Stamps digital stamp. Did you know that you do not need Photoshop or digital skills to play with digi stamps? I just used picmonkey.com (which is free) and it took about two minutes.

For my cover page, I used the fabulous February Life Pages kit from Gossamer Blue paired with a family photo taken on January 1st.

Week One was also created with the same kit from Gossamer Blue (grab one of they are still available!) to which I added elements from their brand new Planner kit.

I couldn't have been more delighted with my first kits from Gossamer Blue!
Thank you for stopping by!

6x8 Travel album with Kellie Stamps

Hello, I am back with a new pocket page but this one is in my smaller (6x8) summer travel album and it features the brand new Kellie Stamps set "Looks like Summer" which just came out today:

This album is an ongoing/unfinished project and I am glad that Kellie's Summer themed set made me go back and work on it! I forgot how fun this format is and how great that summer was :) Revisiting memories is one of the best parts of this hobby!
I love the variety of word stamps and their scale makes them perfect for pocket pages. I had fun stamping them directly on a photo, on a label and journaling card.
I combined two stamps to create my title card:
Here's one more look at the spread:
Here's a direct link if you wish to order this set: Looks Like Summer but there are a couple of other new releases in the shop worth checking as well!

Supplies: Kellie Stamps "Looks Like Summer" set, Scraptastic Club journaling card and patterned paper, Dear Lizzy puffy sticker, misc. labels and enamel dots

Thank you for visiting!
