Rise + shine (in my Traveler's Notebook)

Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, if you are in the States. I have not done very much crafting this weekend but I do have this new page in my TN to share with you:
The last page announced "Blooms" as a big title (you can see it here) and so this one has more photos of desert wildflowers.
My design was very much inspired by a spread created by Elise/Lilgik that I had saved on Instagram back in August:
I liked it so much that I replicated many of her elements:
- I used a grid stamp has a "layer"
- I added pieces of the same patterned paper (the pretty Postcard Paper from the Oasis collection by Crate Paper)
- bits of washi tape
- triangle embellishments
One of my favorite things about those "just for me" projects (as opposite to Design Team assignments) is that they allow me to "scrap lift" and pull tons of inspiration from crafters that I admire. It feels really good because I might try different things, it (sometimes) speeds up the creative process, and I enjoy seeing their influence in my album. It is also an excellent way to get you going after a creative slump.

Do you "scrap lift" as well? If you do, how does it help you?
