Have you seen the new School Days collection by Doodlebug Design yet?! It is so cute and it inspired me to create a banner for Back to School, which is right around the corner for me!
For the base, I layered two different patterned papers from the collection and machine stitched them together (to give you an idea of the scale, each pennant measures 3.25x4.25 inches). I then added strips of washi tape to reenforce the top and punched circles plus scalloped circles to hold my Skinny letter stickers.
After that I had tons of fun decorating each one with stickers from the Icons sticker sheet (adhering some with foam dots for extra dimension) but also with a few Doodle-Pops and shaped Sprinkles.
Towards the end, I decided to add two extra pennants in order to "frame" or "anchor" the banner with large die-cuts from the Odds&Ends pack.
Even though I am not really looking forward to going back to work I can't wait to put this banner up in my office! I think it will help cheer me up and wow my colleagues ;) Below are (affiliate) links to all the supplies used to make this project.
