First Baby TN spread (Elle's Studio)

Hi there! I finally started a new project which was part of my 2019 Creative plans and I am happy to share its first pages with you today.
Background:

• I have "baby notes" for each of my kids recording some milestones big and small, currently in a random/ugly journal
• I have never made an actual baby album for either one of them and it is too daunting of an exercise at this point 
• So my solution/plan is to create a traveler's notebook insert for each kid matching these notes with some favorite photos (which will mostly be scanned old prints!)

For this very first spread, I used the brand new April kit and extras from Elle's Studio:

I used two cards from the kit, one as a journaling spot on top of a patterned paper from the Noteworthy collection and one as a mat for a photo. I purposefully used my handwriting for the journaling to give it a more personal feel.

 I had fun creating a border repeating one of the stamps from the new Wander set in an ink color matching the paper on the opposite page.

 To embellish, I just used a few die-cuts, a matching puffy heart sticker and some washi tape from my stash)

I'm excited to continue working on this. It's different and it brings back some (very) old memories...
