Cards with tags + sketches!

Hello, I wrote this post for the Elle's Studio blog but wanted to also share it with you here.

If you are a tag lover like I am, I hope that you grabbed the Cardstock Die Cut Tags and the Nesting Tags Metal Die in this month's release! I used both to create the set of greeting cards I am sharing today.

Supplies: July 2021 Kit, Cardstock Die Cut Tags, Adventure Chipboard Stickers, Tiny Shapes and Dots Puffy Stickers - Neutrals, Acrylic Trees, Adventure 6 x 8.5 inch Paper Stack, Text Message Stamp, Nesting Tags Metal Die, Text Message Metal Die, Layered Card Metal Die

For this first card, I created a vertical design with two tags in opposite direction. One of them was cut out of white textured cardstock to let the Acrylic Trees stand out, the other is from the pack of Cardstock Die Cut Tags.

I loved the sentiment that came in the kit and it was a perfect match with the night sky paper from the Adventure 6 x 8.5 inch Paper Stack.

A few puffy stickers from the Tiny Shapes and Dots Puffy Stickers and a bow add extra texture.

My second card is pretty different even though its design is also centered around a tag from the Cardstock Die Cut Tags pack. This time I played with the new Text Message Stamp and matching Text Message Metal Die to create a belated birthday card.

The trick here was to stamp the text bubbles and emojis (lightly colored with pencils) first and feed the paper in my typewriter to type the text before die-cutting them. It was easy to create layers with the variety of patterns found in the Adventure Paper Stack and the Layered Card Metal Die.
This Text Message Stamp set is so much fun. I needed a birthday card but really, the possibilities for cards or for your pocket pages are endless!

If you feel inspired, below are sketches I created for those two cards.
Let me know if you end up using them! I'd love to see your versions!
